All right. I have some news to report today. But first, my daily Saltwater Flush report. I just tried to drink it the ‘ol fashioned way (32oz water and 2tsp salt) but couldn’t hack it. So, I put both teaspoons of salt in like one gulp of water and then followed it up with room temperature water. We’ll see if it has the same effect!
Ok, now onto the news. I weighed in at 303.5lbs this morning. That means so far, I have lost 7.5lbs! I have a feeling I am going to lose a lot more too just because my body tends to shed the pounds when I don’t pig out on buffets.
Anyway, other than that, everything is going smooth and I feel great! The mental attacks are getting more bearable and from what I have been told within the next day or two, things should start to get a whole lot easier!

Wednesday, June 18, 2008 at 1:41:00 • Comments (3)It’s day two of the Master Cleanse and things are actually going pretty good. I just finished the saltwater flush and I already have a feeling I am going to have to take a break from writing this post to take care of business!
Speaking of the saltwater flush, that is by FAR, the worst part of the cleanse up to this point. I tried something different this morning and I mixed the 2tsp of salt with 8oz of water and chugged that, followed by a chaser of normal water. It didn’t help anything and I still had to do all I could not to puke. If you have ever been in the ocean on a hot day, sank to the bottom and just started drinking the water for like a full minute, you know what I mean.
The lemonade mixture wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be. It was actually pretty good and it helped curb my appetite. SURPRISINGLY, I was not in the least bit hungry the whole day! I will say that there were times I would have loved to eat something, but I never felt like I HAD to eat because I was hungry. I think it’s like when a smoker stops smoking, they don’t know what to do with their hands. It’s all part of breaking a habit!
Finally, I will say that this cleanse has been mentally harder than it has physically. Your mind plays games with you when you tell your body it can’t have food for an undetermined amount of time. I will ellaborate on this in an upcoming post. In the meantime, I gotta run...(pun intended)
